For the Board

The State Farm Youth Advisory Board is one of the nations' most exciting opportunities for youth empowerment and development. The board is comprised of 30 youth from around the United States and Canada who serve as equal members on the board. The board is given responsibility over the resources of $5 million dollars to grant signature service-learning projects that seek to solve important community issues.

Note: Applicants for the State Farm Youth Advisory Board must live in a state within the United States, or in Alberta, New Brunswick or Ontario, Canada. We are sorry, but at this time, applications are not open to the other Canadian provinces or U.S. territories. Applicants must also be between the ages of 17-20 as of June 30th, 2009.

For Grants

The Youth Advisory Board grants deadline has passed. Please come back next year to submit your grant.

Grants range from $25,000 to $100,000 and are evaluated by the youth advisory board for how well they utilize service-learning to address:
• Driver Safety
• Environmental Responsibility
• Financial Literacy
• Access to Higher Education
• Disaster Preparedness

Grant applications will be available for download here on Friday August 1, 2009.
