Alex Wirth is an advocate for youth involvement in government, community service, and service-learning.  Alex is working to create a national youth engagement strategy as a Fellow at the Forum for Youth Investment.  He founded the Youth Creating Action Network and chairs the youth working group of the U.S. National Commission to UNESCO.  Alex helps write and analyze the only nation wide poll of young people written by young people at the Harvard Institute of Politics.  Alex is a Blogger for the Huffington Post, an active tweeter (@amaliowirth), and serves on the Board of Directors of YSA and the National Youth Association.  Alex is a member of the youth councils of YSA, DoSomething.org, and the Democratic National Committee. 

Alex has attended the Opportunity Nation Summit and National Academy for Social Insurance annual conference.  Alex has also presented workshops or served as a moderator at the National Education Association, Yale University, TedxCapital, The National Service Learning Conference, and the Department of Education’s first ever National Youth Summit.  In his free time, Alex enjoys being outdoors skiing, fishing, and backpacking with his friends.
